Children have access to a wide range of activities inside and outside combining free and more structured play. There are many ways in which children learn. As a result, our activities promote Creative Play with a range of painting, cutting and modelling; Physical Play using balls, mats, hoops, bikes and slides. Social Play in the Home Corner which will reflect the topics we are learning about (for eg a café) when we are learning about food; Communication – Role play using the appropriate language and tools. A wide range of floor play consisting of garage, vehicles, farm animals’, blocks and building. This will encourage social development. We hope to encourage people from all walks of life to visit the children and in turn visit them. E.g. a visit from a librarian followed by a visit to a library / a visit from a fire-fighter followed by a visit to a fire station. Visitors and visits will fit in with relevant topics. The range of activities available for the children will be differentiated by age group where relevant.
